Laurie
was born in Los Angeles, California, and grew up in Toronto,
Ontario. She attended Montreal's McGill University intending
to study economics but realized her passion was acting, so she
transfered to UCLA, where she graduated in 1993 with a BA in
theater arts. Laurie's acting career began at the age of 10 in
The Martian Chronicles miniseries. Laurie now
plays the sexy Marita Covarrubias who plays out her own agenda
on the X-Files.
